The Brookfield Art Fair is over. I could not believe that the temperature was 95 degrees! How crazy is that?  Anyway, now I have to get ready for my two month exhibit at the Tamale Hut Cafe in North Riverside. There is a 30 foot wall space that needs to be filled and hung with new art. I will be very busy in October to say the least.

Summer is almost over and soon the fall classes will be starting at the LaGrange Art League. Hopefully, I will be teaching my abstract fluid acrylic pour method.  I have been accepted to be in the Brookfield Art Festival, Saturday, September 23rd, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. It is only one day this year. I will have new paintings in various sizes so come on out and say Hi!  There will be food, music and children's activities. It's always great when people support local artists.

I can't believe that I have not updated my blog since last September. I was busy teaching classes at the LaGrange Art League and painting at home a lot. There were many trials and errors in learning how to use different mediums and various additives in working with fluid acrylics. I finally have brand new paintings to post on the web site.
The Graue Mill Fine Art Fair held on June 3rd and 4th was very successful for me. If accepted, I will be participating at the Brookfield Art Fest in September.
Next year I plan on venturing into uncharted territory by applying to the Bucktown and Hinsdale Art Fairs.
I paint using oils with agroup of other artists once a week. It's the best day of the week!  I am trying to learn how to incorporate my fluid acrylic painting style into creating an abstract oil painting. I tell my students not to be afraid and experiment with your art. You will always find something new and exciting.  My latest acrylic work is much different now than what I did in the past.  I think I have reached a new turning point and I'm much happier with the new paintings.

Thanks for reading

I apologize for not updating my blog.  I have been very busy creating several new paintings and now summer is almost over. Unbelievable!!!  New pictures of paintings coming soon.

I will be teaching an abstract art class using fluid acrylics starting September 13th at the LaGrange Art League from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Class size is limited to seven so sign up ASAP!

The countdown is on! I have about four weeks until the Graue Mill Fine Art Fair in Oak Brook, June 4th and 5th, of which I must produce at least ten new paintings. Guess I should get started. Expect new art to be displayed on the website soon.

Thank you to my family and friends who turned out yesterday for my one day 50% off sale. A bigger thank you is warranted to my great friends and colleagues from the LaGrange Art League who have given me unwavering support for so many years. I am so lucky and grateful to have you in my life.

Also, thanks to Mr. Ken Grunke, Executive Director of the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce for allowing me this opportunity to exhibit my artwork in your wonderful space.

Sunday, May 1, 2016 I will be having a 50% off sale on selected original abstract art paintings. The location is 9440 Joliet Rd., Hodgkins, IL in the Republic Bank building. Entrance is on the east side.  The time for this event is 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Join us for a bite to eat or just come to meet the artist (me)!  Admission is free.

Welcome to the new, improved, and updated version of my web site.  I plan to post updates here semi-regularly, to let you know what I'm up to, what I'm working on and where you might be able to see my work in person.

The next event I will be participating in is the Graue Mill Fine Arts Festival in Oak Brook, IL on June 4th and 5th, so if you're in the area on either date, please stop by.

I have to produce at least 15 pieces of new artwork before the Graue Mill show and am going to post the new paintings here as they are finished, so check back frequently to see my progress.

The last day of April ends my three-year term as president of the La Grange Art League.  Now I will have more time to devote to my art!

Also, I am now teaching my technique of the "Pour" method using fluid acrylics at the La Grange Art League.  The new class schedule should be posted on the LGAL web site in a few weeks.  Go to and check it out.
